Man Killed in Accident Likely Due To Not Wearing Seatbelt

Early morning on Friday Oct. 30 a 20-year-old Burbank man was speeding down the 5 freeway in his Ford Fiesta. As he approached the Ventura Freeway he rear-ended a truck. The driver was ejected from his car and died at the scene. The impact of the LA car accident caused the Fiesta to flip multiple times up the roadside embankment. Investigators believe he was not wearing his seat belt even though the car was equipped with five-point racing seat belts. The driver of the truck was not injured.
